Can I add several visits to the same country?
Yes. Add each separate visit with its own arrival and departure dates. Jetseen combines the relevant presence days when a tracker evaluates that country.
Can I attach documents to a trip?
Yes. You can attach travel documents, visited-place evidence, and bills to the relevant trip so the dates and supporting records stay together.
Can I export only one tax year or date range?
Yes. Choose the date range requested for the report, generate the CSV, and verify that boundary trips are represented correctly before sharing it.
Can I use Jetseen without internet access?
Core trip records and day calculations work from the local database, so you can review them offline. Store purchases, links, and private cloud backup may require a connection.
Can Jetseen track passport expiry dates?
Yes. Add the passport number and expiry date to its citizenship record, then keep the document itself as the authority for renewal and travel validity.
Can one trip affect several trackers?
Yes. One confirmed trip can feed every active tracker whose country scope and period include its dates, so you do not need duplicate trip records.
Do arrival and departure days both count?
For Schengen short stays, both arrival and departure days count as full days. Other tax and residence rules can use different tests, so check the tracker you are reviewing.
Do partial days count toward UAE tax residency?
Official UAE guidance treats a day or part of a day physically present in the UAE as a presence day for these domestic residence tests.
Does a residence permit change my Schengen count?
A residence permit can change which stays fall under the Schengen short-stay limit, but it does not create a universal reset. Track the permit country and review the exact itinerary.
Does Jetseen store my raw GPS coordinates?
No. Version 1.2 uses country-level detection without persisting raw coordinates in SQLite, backups, exports, or logs.
Does leaving Schengen for one day reset my count?
No. A one-day exit does not reset the Schengen allowance. The calculation looks back across a rolling 180-day window, and older counted days expire individually.
How are leap years and partial days handled?
Jetseen uses actual calendar dates, so February 29 is included when present. Partial-day treatment depends on the selected rule and must not be assumed to be universal.
How do I add a trip that is still in progress?
Create the trip with its start date and mark it as ongoing. Update it with the departure date after you leave the country.
How do I change the app language?
Choose one of the supported app languages in the app or system language settings, then reopen affected screens if a label has not refreshed immediately.
How do I clear all local Jetseen data?
Use the app's local data clearing control only after exporting or backing up anything you need. Clearing device data is different from deleting account-related metadata.
How do I correct a wrong entry date?
Open the trip in Timeline, edit the entry date, save it, and recheck every affected tracker. Add a note when the correction matters for an audit trail.
How do I correct the country on a trip?
Edit the trip in Timeline, select the correct country, and save it. Recheck all country and zone trackers because the change can move days between calculations.
How do I create a custom residency rule?
Create a custom rolling-window or calendar-year tracker, choose the countries, threshold, period, and whether you must stay under or meet the target.
How do I export my history for my accountant?
Open Profile, choose the CSV report, select the relevant date range, and export the file. Review the dates before sending it to your accountant.
How do I finish an ongoing trip?
Open the active trip, turn off ongoing status, enter the actual departure date, and save. Then review the trackers that used the open-ended stay.
How do I move my records to a new iPhone?
Create and verify an optional private backup on the old iPhone, install Jetseen on the new device, and restore before disposing of the old device.
How do I remove a duplicate trip?
Confirm that the records describe the same stay, then delete the duplicate in Timeline. Do not delete legitimate same-country visits that happen on different dates.
How do I restore a Jetseen backup?
Use the restore option, choose the matching local or private backup, review what it contains, and complete the restore before adding replacement records.
How do I test a future trip without changing my history?
Use the trip simulator to enter proposed dates and inspect their effect. Do not save the simulation as confirmed history unless the travel actually occurs.
How do I track two passports?
Add both citizenship records, enter each passport's number and expiry, and mark the primary citizenship. Record which document supported a trip when that context matters.
How do I turn off GPS-assisted entry?
Turn off the GPS-assisted entry setting and, if desired, remove Jetseen's location permission in iOS Settings. Continue logging trips manually.
How do I use the Calendar view?
Open Calendar to see trip indicators by month, then select dates to inspect the underlying records. Use Timeline when you need the full chronological sequence.
How do I use the Timeline view?
Use Timeline to review trips in chronological order, open a record, edit dates or details, and review GPS-staged entries before they affect confirmed history.
How do rule threshold alerts work?
For stay-under trackers, Jetseen can warn as usage approaches configured thresholds. Meet-minimum trackers can warn when progress is falling behind pace.
How do transit days work for Schengen?
An airport transit normally does not use a Schengen day if you remain in the international transit area and do not pass border control. Entering the Schengen Area makes the day count.
How does a maximum-stay alert work?
When a visa has a saved maximum stay and a trip is ongoing, Jetseen can warn as the recorded stay approaches that limit.
How does iCloud private backup work?
On iOS, Jetseen can use its private iCloud provider path for an optional backup. It is personal backup, not Jetseen-hosted travel-history sync.
How long must I wait after using 90 Schengen days?
There is no universal reset date. Your next available day depends on when each of the 90 used days falls outside the rolling 180-day lookback.
How should I log a trip across the International Date Line?
Use the local arrival and departure dates shown by the itinerary and border records. Keep the times and time zones in notes so the unusual sequence remains explainable.
Is a UAE residence visa the same as UAE tax residency?
No. A residence visa grants immigration status, while domestic tax residency is determined under separate UAE criteria that include presence and, for some paths, additional ties.
Is GPS-assisted entry optional?
Yes. GPS-assisted country entry is off by default. You can keep entering trips manually and never enable the optional detection workflow.
What do the tracker colour states mean?
The colours summarize tracker status: safe, approaching, critical, or resident. Treat them as prompts to inspect the underlying day count and rule, not as legal conclusions.
What does a negative days remaining number mean?
It means the saved count has passed the configured stay-under threshold. Verify the records and rule immediately, then seek advice if the legal limit may have been exceeded.
What does primary citizenship mean in Jetseen?
Primary citizenship identifies the passport context you normally want shown first. It does not decide your tax residence, immigration status, or which passport a border requires.
What does the world map show?
The world map highlights countries represented in your saved travel history. Use Timeline and the trackers for exact dates and legal day-count calculations.
What happens if I have already overstayed?
Do not try to repair an overstay by changing or deleting accurate trip records. Preserve the evidence and get advice from a qualified immigration professional promptly.
What happens when I am in two countries on the same day?
Record both border events and keep the times and evidence. A day may be treated differently by each rule, so do not force one universal country assignment.
What is the difference between stay under and meet a minimum?
Stay under tracks a ceiling you do not want to cross. Meet a minimum tracks progress toward a presence target you want to reach.
What is the US 31-day minimum?
The standard Substantial Presence Test requires at least 31 days of US presence in the current year as well as a weighted three-year total of 183.
What should I do if GPS suggests the wrong country?
Reject or edit the staged suggestion before confirming it. Use your itinerary and border evidence to save the country and dates that actually occurred.
What should I do if I forgot to log a trip?
Add the trip as soon as you reconstruct the dates. Use passport stamps, boarding passes, tickets, calendars, receipts, and photos to confirm the record before saving it.
What should I do when two trips overlap?
Inspect the overlap before accepting the totals. Correct impossible date ranges, or preserve both records with times and notes when a real same-day border crossing caused it.
What should I put in trip notes?
Use notes for facts that explain the record: purpose, border timing, entry document, stay name, places visited, evidence location, and why a correction was made.
What should I send my accountant with a day-count export?
Send the requested CSV, the review period, relevant passports or permits, and supporting evidence for unusual, disputed, corrected, or same-day travel records.
When should I use a custom calendar-year tracker?
Use it when a sourced rule or personal target measures presence within a fixed calendar year and no suitable built-in tracker exists.
When should I use a custom rolling-window tracker?
Use it when a sourced rule or planning target looks backward across a fixed number of days from each date and no built-in tracker fits.
When will I receive visa expiry alerts?
Jetseen can schedule visa reminders at 90, 30, and 7 days before the saved expiry date when notifications are enabled.
Where is my travel history stored?
Trips, trackers, visas, citizenships, and supported attachments are stored locally on your device. Optional private backup uses your platform provider rather than a Jetseen travel-history cloud.
Which countries can I record?
Jetseen is country-first and supports recording international travel by country. Built-in legal logic covers selected rules, while custom trackers can cover additional planning needs.
Which country should I record for an overnight flight?
Record the actual departure and arrival events and keep the flight times. Do not invent a universal country for the hours in the air because each rule can count the day differently.
Which rule types are built into Jetseen?
Jetseen includes 13 built-in rule types covering Schengen, US, UK, UAE, Australia, India, Ireland, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, Portugal, and two custom models.
Why did my day count change today?
An ongoing stay may have added another day, a rolling window may have dropped an older day, or an edited trip may have changed the calculation.
Why does the Schengen window move every day?
The rule checks the 180-day period ending on each day of stay, so the lookback advances daily and older presence days expire one by one.
Why does the UK tracker care about midnight?
The UK Statutory Residence Test generally counts a day when you are present in the UK at midnight, subject to specific rules and exceptions.
Why does the UK tracker use 6 April to 5 April?
The UK Statutory Residence Test applies by UK tax year, which runs from 6 April through 5 April, not by calendar year.
Why does the US tracker ask for prior-year days?
The US Substantial Presence Test weights days from the current year and the two preceding years, so a current-year total alone is incomplete.
Why is a trip not appearing in a tracker?
Check the trip's country and dates, the tracker's period, whether the rule includes that country, and whether a GPS suggestion is still waiting for review.
Why must I review a GPS-detected trip?
GPS-detected country changes are staged for review so a suggestion cannot silently alter your confirmed history or residency counts.
Will my CSV export use my selected language?
Jetseen can localize report labels, section titles, rule names, visa labels, purposes, and column headers using the selected app language.
