Jetseen Help
How do I move my records to a new iPhone?
Create and verify an optional private backup on the old iPhone, install Jetseen on the new device, and restore before disposing of the old device.

What to do
- Create a current backup on the old phone.
- Restore it on the new phone before entering duplicate trips.
- Compare totals, attachments, and recent trips on both devices.
Why this matters
Travel history is local-first, so a new installation should not be assumed to contain the old database automatically. Keep the old phone and backup until the restored record has been audited.
The trip record should describe what happened. The tracker then applies its configured calculation. Keep documents for disputed boundary dates and avoid changing accurate history only to produce a preferred result.
Check the rule behind the answer
Jurisdictions do not all define a presence day in the same way. Read How to Track Days Across Countries for the rule context and cited sources used by this answer. Official guidance and advice for your facts take priority over an app display.
Before you rely on the total
- Check the country, entry date, departure date, and local time where relevant.
- Resolve duplicate, missing, overlapping, or unreviewed GPS-assisted records.
- Confirm the tracker period, countries, threshold, and tracking direction.
- Export a fresh record after any correction that changes a previously shared total.
When to ask a professional
Ask a qualified tax or immigration professional when a count is close to a legal threshold, an exception may apply, records conflict, or a late correction could affect a filing, permit, or overstay. Jetseen organizes dates and calculations. It does not decide your legal status.
